This includes Up to $1,000 - Dental Coverage, providing reimbursement for emergency dental expenses incurred during the trip.
  • Up to $50,000 - Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains: covers medical transportation expenses if an accidental acute, severe or life-threatening injury or sickness takes place during the trip and adequate treatment is not available in the immediate area. This may also cover transportation expenses incurred to return to the United States for further medical treatment.
  • Pre-Existing Condition Coverage: Your pre-existing conditions are covered if you purchase the plan within 15 days of the date your original trip deposit is received and you are not disabled from travel at the time of purchase.*
  • 24-HOUR - Worldwide Emergency Assistance Service: provides an emergency hotline to the assistance provider, On Call International, in the case of travel emergencies. This is not an insurance benefit.

How To Enroll

For your convenience, a member of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection team will offer you (or your travel professional) protection at the time of reserving your cruise. Ask your travel professional to add The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Travel Protection Program to your invoice. We strongly recommend you purchase coverage right away, to lock it in, in case you become ill later on and must cancel your cruise.

The Travel Protection Program may be purchased up until your final cruise payment.  The Trip Cancellation coverage takes effect upon receipt of the Travel Protection Program payment. All other benefits take effect upon departure.

Why should I purchase The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Travel Protection Program?

Preparing for your trip includes covering your trip from unfortunate occurrences that threaten to interfere with even your best-laid plans. By purchasing The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Travel Protection Program, you can protect yourself against cancellation penalties, medical expenses, baggage loss and delays, as well as gain access to traveler's non-assistance services.

Did you know that the Travel Protection Program could cover you if:

  • You become ill and can't travel.
  • You cancel your trip because your primary residence becomes flooded due to a hurricane or natural disaster.
  • A family member passes away and you must return from your vacation early.

  • You twist your ankle and must visit a doctor while traveling.
  • Other unforeseeable events as listed in the plan document

Additional covered reasons include subpoena, having a home made uninhabitable by a natural disaster, hijacking, quarantine* and being involved in a documented traffic accident en route to departure. The covered reasons for Trip Cancellation coverage are not identical to the covered reasons for Trip Interruption coverage, and additional terms apply to all covered reasons.  Please refer to the plan document for full details.

Is there help while I’m traveling on my trip?

With On Call International you have access to the services of a highly trained, multi-lingual staff around the clock to assist you with such emergencies as cash transfers, lost documents, medical or legal monitoring or referrals. Enrollment Questions

When is payment for the program due and how do I enroll?

A member of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection reservations team will offer you (or your travel agent) protection at the time of booking your cruise.  Ask your travel agent to add The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Travel Protection Program to your invoice.  We recommend you purchase coverage right away, to lock it in, in case you become ill later on and must cancel your cruise.

When does coverage go into effect and will it cover me for the entire length of my trip?

The Trip Cancellation coverage takes effect upon receipt of the required plan cost to The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Most other benefits will take effect on the date and time you depart on the first travel arrangement. Your coverage will remain valid until the date you complete your trip, your scheduled return date, or the date you cancel your trip. Please see the plan document for detailed information.

Claims Questions

What happens if I need to cancel my trip?

Please contact The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and the plan administrator as soon as possible in the event of a claim. Co-ordinated Benefit Plans will then forward you the appropriate claim form in order to file a claim.

How do I get reimbursement if my bags and/or personal items are damaged/stolen/lost while I am traveling?

First, obtain verification from the appropriate authority to who you reported the loss (for example, trip representative, police, etc.). Also, be sure to save any store receipts you may have for the original purchases. Upon your return home, simply request a claim form by calling Co-ordinated Benefit Plans. You will be asked to complete the form and submit copies of this information along with your claim form, in addition to any response you may have received from your homeowners or renters insurance. You can be reimbursed for items damaged/stolen/lost while traveling up to $3,000.

If I incur medical expenses during my trip, should I submit them to my health insurance company first?

Yes. All coverages in the plan, including the Accident and Sickness Medical Expense portion of the Travel Protection Program, are subject to an excess insurance limitation.  For the Medical Expense benefit, this means that the plan covers medical expenses that are not covered under your regular health insurance policy.  The Medical Expense benefit can reimburse you for deductibles and co-pays that may be imposed by your health insurance. Please see the plan document for a complete definition of covered medical expenses.

How do I file a claim? How long does it take to receive my money back?

In the event of a claim please contact Co-ordinated Benefit Plans, our Plan Administrator, at 1-877-394-7301 between Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST (please note after 9:30 am on Thursday).

Also, you may send an E-mail message to: travelteam@cbpinsure.com

If you plan to cancel your trip due to a covered reason call The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Co-ordinated Benefit Plans immediately to initiate the claims process and to avoid additional expenses due to late notification.

Please note that you may want to have a copy of your Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection invoice handy when you call, as there are some details that will be needed in order to initiate your claim. This information includes your travel dates, date of cancellation, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection confirmation or reservation number, and some brief information regarding your reason for cancellation, or other type of loss (i.e., trip delays, baggage loss or delay, medical claims, etc.). Important: If you are canceling your trip, be sure to also contact The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection to notify them of the cancellation, as well as to avoid additional expenses due to late reporting.

Claim forms will be mailed to you within two to three business days. For covered emergencies during your trip which require evacuation or interruption, promptly call On Call International, the assistance company, with your policy number and emergency details.

Once Co-ordinated Benefit Plans receives full documentation, payment for a covered claim can be generated within 7 – 10 business days.

How do I check on the status of my claim?

To check the status of your claim you can contact Co-ordinated Benefit Plans at 1-877-394-7301
