Jewelry Atelier and Lladro Museum

Submitted by carmine.nezi on

Discover how a new generation is keeping Valencia’s artisanal heritage relevant in the 21st century on this tour. Begin with Vicente Gracia, one of Spain’s leading contemporary jewelers, who was fascinated by his own father’s gold and silver work. At the atelier, you’ll see how Gracia incorporates Hispano-Islamic influences into highly collectible designs that are worn by members of the Spanish Royal Family and discerning clients from around the world. The Lladró Museum celebrates the Spanish company founded in the 1950s by three brothers. Their passion for porcelain fueled innovations in the design and production of their distinctive style. The company’s workshops are still in Tavernes Blanques, some 15 minutes outside the center of Valencia, where you can watch the handcrafted process behind their signature figurines and many other creations. At the onsite museum, explore the collection of iconic pieces retired from production, representing more than 50 years of Lladro artistry, then visit the adjacent boutique to see the latest collections.
