A certified mountaineer who runs an outdoor company is your guide for the scenic hike through the low mountains near Nafplion. From the yacht, it’s a short drive up to the Agia Moni, a hillside convent that was built around 1150. The complex of a beautiful church, small chapels and living quarters for the nuns is lush, thanks to a pond fed by a natural spring. It makes for a peaceful starting point for the hike. The guide leads the way as you make your way down a dirt road and across the back side of another mountain. Depending on the time of year, the air may be perfumed by orange flowers blooming in nearby groves or fragrant with the aroma of oregano, thyme and other wild herbs. Along the way, admire the gorgeous views of the sea and the surrounding landscapes home to flowers and plants unique to the Peloponnesian peninsula. The hike brings you to the village of Tolo on the coast and its sandy beach. At a family-run taverna overlooking the islands of Koronis and Romvi, relax and recharge over a drink and a light meal of typical mezedes before returning to the yacht via the tour transport.
